Photograph of dance troupe with masks preparing for performance in Monsefu on north coast of Peru. The dancers are called Los Panchitos, and they dance in the street during a festival. The masks have Spanish and South American identities, but performers with masks have roots in pre-Hispanic cultures. Photograph by Nathan Benn taken July 28, 1989.
